2027: Sangarin Kwandare Urges Peaceful Elections, Receives Angwa Lungu Wambai Delegation

The Sangarin Kwandare and Chairman of the Traditional Council of Chiefs, Lafia North Area Administrative Council, HRH Alh. Dr. Gwoni Ahmadu Al-Makura I, MFR, PSR, on Tuesday received a delegation from Angwa Lungu Wambai, Lafia Local Government Area, as political activities ahead of the 2027 General Elections gather momentum.
The delegation, led by Alh. Yahaya Wambai, paid a solidarity visit to the paramount ruler at his palace.
Addressing the visitors, Dr. Al-Makura commended the people of Angwa Lungu Wambai for their unity and continued support, urging communities across the emirate to uphold peace, tolerance and dialogue before, during and after the 2027 elections.
He stressed that peaceful coexistence remains essential for the conduct of credible, free and violence-free elections.
The traditional ruler also called on traditional and community leaders to intensify public sensitisation on voter education, civic responsibility and active participation in the democratic process.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alh. Yahaya Wambai, said the visit was to reaffirm the community's loyalty to the paramount ruler and seek his blessings and guidance ahead of the forthcoming elections.
He pledged the community's commitment to sustaining peace and supporting initiatives that would promote development in Lafia Local Government Area and Nasarawa State.
The visit ended with special prayers for enduring peace, unity and a successful 2027 general election in the state and across the country.
