Wadada Accepts APC Governorship Ticket, Unveils HEARTS Agenda for Nasarawa 2027

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship election, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has formally accepted his party's mandate, pledging to consolidate the developmental strides of the current administration and lead the state with a people-oriented governance agenda.
Speaking during a press conference in Lafia, Senator Wadada described his emergence as the APC flag bearer as a victory for democracy, unity, continuity, and the collective aspirations of the people of Nasarawa State.
He expressed gratitude to members of the APC across the state for the confidence reposed in him, assuring them of his commitment to transparent, inclusive, and result-driven leadership.
The APC candidate commended the party leadership for conducting what he described as a peaceful, transparent, credible and successful governorship primary election.
He particularly praised the State Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, members of the State Working Committee, and electoral officials for ensuring a free and fair process.
Wadada Hails Sule's Leadership
Senator Wadada paid glowing tribute to Abdullahi Sule, describing the governor's leadership as purposeful, mature and visionary.
According to him, Governor Sule has laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth through achievements in infrastructure, industrialization, agriculture, healthcare, education, security and economic transformation.
He thanked the governor for his support and commitment to the continued progress of Nasarawa State.
Extends Hand of Fellowship to Fellow Aspirants
The APC governorship candidate also acknowledged fellow contestants, including Hassan Liman and Dr. Fatima Abdullahi, for their maturity in accepting the outcome of the primary election.
He called on all aspirants, their supporters and party stakeholders to close ranks and work together for the success of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"There is no victor and no vanquished. We are members of one political family united by a common vision for the peace, unity and development of Nasarawa State," he stated.
HEARTS Agenda to Drive Development
Unveiling his development blueprint tagged the HEARTS Agenda, Wadada said his administration would focus on:
H – Human Capital Development
E – Economic Enhancement
A – Accountability
R – Rural Transformation
T – Technological Advancement
S – Security.
He explained that the agenda is designed to consolidate existing achievements while creating new opportunities for economic growth, youth empowerment, rural development, innovation and improved security.
The APC candidate pledged to build a transparent, accountable and inclusive government that prioritizes the welfare of citizens, strengthens institutions, expands economic opportunities and attracts investments.
Commends Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda
Wadada also expressed support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the Federal Government's economic reforms are aimed at achieving long-term stability, sustainable development and national prosperity.
He commended President Tinubu's leadership and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting federal efforts toward economic transformation, security and democratic consolidation.
Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027
The senator concluded by thanking traditional rulers, women, youths, persons living with disabilities, religious leaders, community stakeholders and APC faithful across the state's 147 wards for their support.
He urged citizens to rise above political differences and embrace unity, expressing confidence that Nasarawa State's best days lie ahead.
"Together, we can build a Nasarawa State that offers greater opportunities for our youth, better healthcare for our families, quality education for our children, stronger security for our communities and sustainable prosperity for all," he said.
