Nasarawa Speaker Hails Sen. Wadada’s APC Victory, Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027
Congratulates Gov. Sule, Sen. Wadada, APC Members, Citizens; Describes Outcome as Victory for Democracy

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has congratulated Aliyu Ahmed Wadada following his emergence as the 2027 governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Lafia on Saturday, the Speaker described Wadada’s victory at the just-concluded APC gubernatorial primary election as a triumph for democracy and the people of the state.
Dr. Jatau also congratulated Abdullahi Sule, Senator Wadada, members of the APC and citizens of the state over what he termed a peaceful and successful exercise.
According to the Speaker, the emergence of Senator Wadada reflects the confidence, trust and acceptance he enjoys among party stakeholders and members across the state.
He noted that Wadada’s victory was well deserved considering his political antecedents, track record of achievements and contributions toward the growth and development of the APC in Nasarawa State.
“The victory of Senator Wadada is a clear indication of the support and acceptance he enjoys from APC stakeholders, party officials and other members of the party in the state,” the Speaker stated.
The Speaker further commended APC stakeholders and members for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the primary election process.
Dr. Jatau called for greater teamwork, unity and reconciliation among all aspirants and their supporters, urging them to close ranks and work collectively for the victory of the party in the 2027 general elections.
He also assured Senator Wadada and the APC leadership of his unwavering commitment and determination to work for the success of the party in the state.
