Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, is making waves in Bauchi with posters popping up across major streets, hinting at a possible presidential bid in 2027! The colorful A2-sized posters feature Amaechi's image with bold messages like "the only person to be trusted" and "the only man for the job," emphasizing unity, equality, stability, and development
The posters, bearing the inscription “Amaechi for President 2027 – Move Nigeria Forward” and the logo of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), have surfaced at strategic locations including roundabouts, electric poles, and signboards across the state capital
Amaechi, who holds the traditional title of Dan Amanan Kasar Hausa of Daura, has previously served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor of Rivers State, and Minister of Transportation. He contested the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in 2022, finishing second behind President Bola Tinubu.
While answering questions, Usman Ibrahim, an ADC supporter in Bauchi, said the posters prominently display Amaechi’s portrait because “he is a quintessential and exemplary leader, a detribalised Nigerian I can describe as ‘the only person to be trusted’ and ‘the only man for the job.’” He added that the campaign messages focus on unity, equality, stability, and development.
Residents said the posters appeared at key locations across Bauchi metropolis, including Ahmadu Bello Way, Awalah Roundabout, Wunti Flyover, Jos Road Roundabout, Bauchi Club, Nasarawa Gate Roundabout, Emir’s Palace Roundabout, and along Railway Road, Sabon Titin Karofi, and Kofar Dumi Street
The displays drew noticeable attention, with motorists and pedestrians slowing to view them. Traffic around Awalah Roundabout experienced brief disruptions during early-morning hours as people stopped to look
