NDC Positions as Fresh Opposition Platform Ahead of 2027 Elections
Launches Digital Membership Drive, Opens Doors to Aspirants in Nasarawa
A newly registered political party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared its intention to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape as it positions itself as a formidable opposition platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Nasarawa State Chairman of the party, Hon. Dogo Shammah, described the NDC as a “new sheriff in town,” emphasizing its readiness to provide credible alternatives through policy-driven governance.
According to him, the party, championed by former Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, is focused on promoting issue-based politics and delivering practical solutions to national challenges.
He further disclosed that the NDC has introduced a digital registration platform to ease membership enrollment, calling on Nigerians willing to align with the party’s vision to register without delay.
Shammah also noted that the party remains united and crisis-free, distinguishing it from other political platforms in the country.
The NDC leadership extended an open invitation to individuals interested in contesting elective positions under its platform, assuring a level playing ground for all aspirants.
Meanwhile, the party urged prospective members to visit its Nasarawa State Secretariat located at FAMO Plaza, adjacent to UBA Bank, Total Roundabout, Lafia, for further inquiries and registration.
The statement was signed by the State Secretary of the party, Hon. Osokunu Simon Atukpa.
