2027 NASARAWA POLLS: Youth Leader Nasiru Isah Urges Issue-Based Voting, Peaceful Participation
Calls for Competence, Integrity as Citizens Prepare to Elect Leaders Across All Levels

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 primary and general elections in Nasarawa State, a youth leader, Comrade Nasiru Isah, has called on the electorate to embrace issue-based voting and uphold peaceful participation throughout the electoral process.
In a message addressed to citizens, the Ado Youth Chairman from Karu Local Government Area stressed that the forthcoming elections represent a defining moment for the state, urging voters to prioritize competence, integrity, and credible representation when choosing their leaders.
He noted that beyond the presidential race, the elections will determine occupants of key offices including the governorship, National Assembly, and State House of Assembly, all of which play critical roles in shaping governance and development at various levels.
Comrade Isah emphasized that voting decisions should not be driven by political sentiment or personal loyalty, but by the capacity of candidates to deliver meaningful progress in areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and grassroots empowerment.
Addressing political aspirants, he cautioned that electoral victory must be seen as a mandate for service, accountability, and transparency, urging them to remain committed to the welfare of the people.
The youth leader also underscored the power of the electorate in determining the direction of governance, calling for unity among citizens irrespective of political differences.
He warned against electoral violence, advocating dialogue and mutual respect as the foundation of democratic engagement.
Reiterating the need for peaceful coexistence, Isah echoed the slogan “Vote but No War,” urging stakeholders to ensure a violence-free electoral process.
“As we approach this defining moment, our collective decisions will shape the future for generations to come,” he said.
“Let us rise above divisions and use our votes to build a prosperous and peaceful Nasarawa State.”
He concluded by encouraging citizens to remain resolute and united in using their votes as instruments for positive change and sustainable development across the state.
