Aliyu Yusuf Turakin Awe has officially joined the race for the Awe, Doma and Keana Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Turakin Awe made his ambition known after obtaining his party’s expression of interest and nomination forms, marking a significant step in his bid to represent the constituency at the National Assembly’s Green Chamber.

Speaking shortly after the development, the APC aspirant said his decision was driven by the need to provide purposeful leadership and effective representation that will address the developmental challenges facing the constituency.

He noted that Awe, Doma and Keana deserve a voice that will attract federal presence, improve infrastructure, empower youths, and strengthen economic opportunities across communities in the area.

According to him, his aspiration is anchored on unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots engagement, assuring party stakeholders and constituents that his campaign will be issue-based and people-focused.

“I am in this race to serve my people with sincerity, dedication and accountability. Our constituency has what it takes to move forward if we work together in unity and purpose,” he said.

Turakin Awe also called on APC leaders, delegates, and supporters to rally behind his ambition, stressing that internal party cohesion will be critical to securing victory in 2027.

Political observers describe his entry into the race as a development that could further intensify competition within the APC ahead of the party primaries in Nasarawa State.

The Awe, Doma and Keana Federal Constituency remains one of the key political battlegrounds in Nasarawa State, with aspirants already positioning themselves for the 2027 legislative contest.
