Eid-el-Fitr: Prof. Abdulkareem Kana SAN Calls for Unity, National Rebirth in Nasarawa West

As Muslims across Nigeria and the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Abdulkareem Abubakar Kana, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Nasarawa West, has called for unity and a renewed commitment to nation-building.
In a statement issued by his media office on Wednesday, the legal luminary described the sighting of the crescent moon as a powerful symbol of transition—from personal sacrifice during Ramadan to collective responsibility in building a stronger society.
According to him, Ramadan serves as a period of spiritual discipline, compassion, and devotion, urging Nigerians to carry forward these virtues beyond the holy month.
“As we celebrate the triumph of the spirit, we must now translate these virtues into the task of nation-building. Our diversity in Nasarawa West is not a point of division, but a catalyst for growth,” he stated.
Kana emphasized that the core values of Eid—charity, empathy, and unity—must extend beyond religious lines, noting that the strength of Nasarawa West lies in its peaceful coexistence and shared aspirations.
He stressed that citizens, regardless of background, are bound by a common destiny and must work collectively to build a society founded on justice, prosperity, and mutual respect.
Reaffirming his commitment to legislative excellence, the Professor of Law pledged to champion policies that promote peace, grassroots development, and socio-economic advancement across the senatorial district.
He also offered prayers for Nigeria’s leadership, seeking divine guidance, improved security, and economic stability for Nasarawa State.
The statement concluded with warm Eid greetings to Muslim faithful, urging moderation in celebration and compassion towards the less privileged.
