Group pledges transparency, accountability and people-centred development at the grassroots

The Global Leadership and Development Initiative (GLASDI), Doma Chapter, has inaugurated its newly elected executives, reaffirming its commitment to ethical leadership, transparency and good governance at the grassroots level.
The inauguration and swearing-in ceremony, held at Government Secondary School (GSS), Doma, attracted members of the organisation, community stakeholders and invited guests, marking the commencement of a new leadership phase for the chapter.
The newly inaugurated executives took a solemn oath of office, pledging to uphold the ideals, constitution and developmental objectives of GLASDI in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator of GLASDI, Comrade Shuaibu Umar Ismaila, emphasised that sustainable development cannot be achieved without responsible and value-driven leadership.
He reiterated the organisation’s vision of grooming leaders committed to accountability, service and people-centred governance, particularly at the community level.
He further noted that GLASDI remains resolute in promoting leadership awareness, civic responsibility and development-oriented initiatives capable of driving meaningful societal progress.
He charged the new executives to regard their positions not as privileges but as responsibilities demanding discipline, integrity and dedication to public service.
Organisers described the inauguration as a strategic milestone aimed at strengthening GLASDI’s organisational structure in Doma and enhancing its capacity to drive advocacy, leadership training and governance-related programmes within the community.
The event also underscored GLASDI’s broader commitment to building a new generation of ethical leaders capable of influencing positive change and fostering sustainable development at both local and national levels.
The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages and renewed calls for unity, cooperation and collective action among members in pursuit of the organisation’s shared vision.
