The Catholic Bishop of Zaria Diocese in Kaduna State, Most Reverend Habila Dabo had described terrorism as global evil that requires assistance or cooperation from external forces not one nation alone.
He made declaration in his 3 page statement Christmas message which is made available to Journalists in Zaria on Thursday.
Most Rev Dabo said that Nigeria in the past, extended Military and peacekeeping assistance to other countries in moment of instability, reorganizing security anywhere to accept help today was to act in the same spirit of solidarity and shared responsibility.
He added that such assistance must be clearly stated it was not directed against any ethic group, religious community or origin of the country.
He said "External Security cooperation must be focused solely on terrorists and violent criminals who destroy lives, so fear undermine our common humanity, Jesus himself has taught that the protection of life is sacred duty.
"Christians, Muslims and People of every ethnic background is to uphold the dignity God placed in human person.
"Our brothers and sisters Christmas call us to pray, but it also call us to act wisely, faith does not no cancel responsibility, rather, it enlightenes it."
The clergyman called on Citizens to tolerate one another and be peacemakers in a wounded land, and pray earnestly for leaders so that may stand for true political wisdom, moral courage and the will to place human life above political interest.
Bishop Dabo therefore Leaders that every life lost through negligence or indifference cries out for justice and that they wouldn't give an account before God.
Also in his massage shortly after Christmas service, the pastor of First Baptist church In Sabon Gari Zaria of the same Kaduna State, Rev Isaac Gbadero said that Christ was prince of peace becouse he came to the world to restore.
He pointed out that before his(Christ) coming into the world there had been wars where the people of Israel were been taken into captivity.
Rev Gbadero prayed for everlasting peace in the Country and urged both Christians and Muslims to keep tolerating one another not allowed the politics to divide them.
