The only female member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, has assured her constituents of better days ahead, promising more purposeful representation and increased democratic dividends.
Dr. Danyaro, who represents Nasarawa Central Constituency, gave the assurance during a series of Christmas visitations to remote communities within her constituency, where she interfaced with residents, assessed their challenges, received political defectors, attracted fresh endorsements for her re-election bid, and made donations to support community development projects.
During the Christmas holidays, the lawmaker visited Kakan-Zaria community, Zabutu village, and Mai Kabulu village. In Kakan-Zaria, she attended a church service and a wedding ceremony, while a special prayer session was organised in her honour, seeking God’s guidance, protection, and success beyond 2027.
She also inspected the construction of a classroom block in the community.
In Zabutu village, Dr. Danyaro was received at the palace of the village head, where a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing her outstanding performance as the reason for his decision.
During the visit, the lawmaker also made cash donations and provided support towards the construction of a clinic in the area.
The legislator further travelled by motorcycle to Mai Kabulu, described as one of the most remote communities in the constituency. There,
she interacted with residents, paid condolences to a community leader who recently lost his mother, and celebrated Christmas with the people.
Addressing the communities, Dr. Danyaro reaffirmed her commitment to delivering more democratic dividends and urged residents to sustain their prayers and support for her and the administration of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule to enable the government succeed.
In all the communities visited, the lawmaker received a warm reception from men, women, youths, and elders, who turned out in large numbers to pray for her and pledged continued support for her political future beyond 2027.
