Architect Shehu Ahmed Tukur, FNIA, Sarkin Fadan Keffi, has condoled the Aren Eggon, Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku (rtd), the Eggon Nation, and the families of victims who lost their lives during the 2025 Eggon Carnival procession in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Arc Tukur described the incident as tragic and deeply distressing, stating that four Eggon sons and daughters lost their lives when a truck reportedly lost control and rammed into the carnival procession.
According to him, the incident turned what was meant to be a joyous cultural celebration into a moment of sorrow and mourning for the Eggon Nation and the entire state.
He prayed for Almighty God to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant them eternal rest, and give their families the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries in the incident.
Arc Tukur further commended the organisers of the Eggon Carnival for their prompt decision to cancel the event as a mark of respect for the victims.
