Ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State, governorship aspirant, Arc. Shehu Ahmed Tukur, has inaugurated campaign coordinators for the Nasarawa South Senatorial District, comprising Awe, Doma, Keana, Lafia and Obi Local Government Areas.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place at Savannah Hotel along Jos Road, Lafia, attracted party stakeholders, political supporters, and members of the campaign organization drawn from across the senatorial zone.
He urged the coordinators to intensify grassroots mobilization, describing them as key ambassadors of his vision in their respective local government areas, while emphasizing discipline, loyalty, and effective engagement with the people.
The governorship aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to sustainable development, noting that his administration, if elected, would prioritize inclusive governance, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and economic growth.
According to him, his aspiration is anchored on a genuine desire to reposition Nasarawa State for accelerated development and improved living standards for all citizens.
As part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilization and ensure sustained engagement, the campaign announced a structured monthly stipend for its officials.
Under the arrangement, Local Government Coordinators will receive ₦40,000, Ward Coordinators ₦30,000, while other campaign officials will also receive ₦40,000 monthly to support effective coordination across the senatorial district.
Earlier, the Campaign Director-General, Hon. Abdullahi Yammani, described the inauguration as a strategic step toward building a formidable grassroots political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
He commended Arc. Tukur’s leadership qualities and development-driven agenda, urging coordinators from Awe, Doma, Keana, Lafia and Obi to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility to both the campaign and the people of Nasarawa State.
