Senator Sama’ila Dahuwa Kaila, representing Bauchi North Senatorial District, has formally defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The senator officially registered as a member of the APC on Sunday, following his earlier announcement of departure from the PDP on Saturday.
The event marking his defection attracted top APC stalwarts from across Bauchi State, including state and local government party executives, as well as hundreds of enthusiastic supporters who gathered to welcome him amid cheers and celebration.
While receiving his membership card, Senator Kaila stated that his decision to join the APC was driven by his commitment to continue delivering quality representation to his constituents and to align with the ruling party’s vision for national development.
He said, “I decided to join the APC to strengthen collaboration with my people and to support policies and programmes that will improve the lives of citizens, particularly those in Bauchi North and the North-East region as a whole.”
