PDP Working to Rebuild Image, Reclaim Power in 2027 – Prof. Jerry Gana

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State and former Minister of Information, Professor Jerry Gana, says the party is working hard to restore its good image and return to power in the 2027 general elections.

Professor Jerry Gana also disclosed that the party has concluded arrangements to field former President Good luck Ebele Jonathan as its presidential candidate in 2027.

According to the PDP chieftain, the landmark achievement was recorded,under Dr. Good luck Jonathan informed the decision of the party to field him as the next president in 2027.

" To formally inform you that the PDP has concluded arrangements to bring back Dr. Good luck Jonathan as the party presidential candidate in 2027.

" His administration,he attracted foreign investors to the country unlike what we are passing through under this administration. Nobody is ready to invest in any part of the country.

" So be assured that come 2027 the PDP as a party will bring back Dr. Good luck Jonathan as the party flagbearer to take the country to its past administration to attract foreign investors into the country" Professor Jerry Gana told Journalists 
 
Professor Gana stated this in Minna during the state congress of the PDP held at the party’s secretariat, where new executive officers were elected.

He said the exercise was a true reflection of democracy, adding that PDP remains the most loved political party in Nigeria because of its people-oriented programmes.

According to him, “Democracy is about the will of the people, and they must be allowed to freely choose their leaders. The PDP has a tremendous opportunity in 2027 because Nigerians still remember the good governance we offered. When we were in power, the welfare and security of the people were our priority.”

The chairman of the congress committee, Kabiru Tanimu, praised the local organising committee for conducting the election successfully, describing it as proof that the PDP is returning stronger.

Also speaking, the member representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency, Abubakar Audu Buba, assured that the PDP will reposition itself for victory by restoring good governance and building on democratic principles.

The party caucus in Niger State, including former Governor Babangida Aliyu, former Senator Zainab Abdulkadir Kure, and other stakeholders, witnessed the transition of leadership as Tanko Beji’s tenure came to an end.

The newly elected state chairman of the PDP,  Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu Halidu,pledged to work tirelessly to rebuild the party and ensure its success in the 2027 elections both in Niger State and across the country.

He said  his victory recorded at the election was a Collective victory for all assuring that he will operate an open door administration that will accommodate all critical stakeholders.
