The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, on Monday received members of the Matawalle Movement, Karu Local Government Area, in collaboration with the Al-Hisan Foundation, during a courtesy visit to his office in Lafia.
Speaking during the visit, the delegation explained that they were in the state capital to congratulate the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State (SSG), Barr. Labaran Magaji, PhD, Matawallen Toto, on his recent appointment.
They said it was equally important to extend the same goodwill to Barr. Danladi following his own appointment as the state’s Attorney General, describing him as a proud son and political leader of Karu Local Government.
The group reaffirmed their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pledged continued support to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Barr. Isaac Danladi and Barr. Labaran Magaji, stressing their readiness to stand by the leaders whenever the need arises politically.
In his response, Barr. Danladi thanked the visitors for the honour and described the Matawalle Movement as a strong vehicle for the growth and development of Karu and the state at large.
He noted his cordial working relationship with the SSG, adding, “Anybody that is with Matawallen Toto is as good as being with me, and whoever is with me is also with Barr. Magaji.”
The Attorney General urged the group to shun politics of religion and ethnicity, stressing that he does not believe in such divisive ideologies.
He further called on them to actively mobilise residents for the ongoing voter registration exercise, emphasising that possession of a voter’s card remains the key to effective participation in governance and future elections.
