The former Executive Secretary of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuaib, has commended the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Education, Dr. John Dogara Mamman, for constructing and donating a mosque to Muslim faithful in his country home, Dari, Kokona Local Government Area.
Dr. Shuaib gave the commendation on Friday while speaking to journalists shortly after the commissioning of the mosque by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
He described the project as a unique demonstration of generosity and inclusivity, stressing that it would remain a reference point in the history of Nasarawa State.
According to him, for a Christian leader to embark on such a project for Muslims was an uncommon act that reflected tolerance, selflessness, and commitment to interfaith unity.
Dr. Shuaib said the gesture was not only about providing a place of worship but also about strengthening bonds of friendship, peace, and mutual respect among people of diverse religious backgrounds.
He explained that Dr. Mamman had set a shining example of leadership that transcends religious and political lines, adding that such initiatives promote harmony and development in society.
The former NPHCDA boss noted that the effort aligned with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision of peace and inclusivity across communities in the state.
He called on political leaders, traditional rulers, and philanthropists to emulate the commissioner by embarking on projects that foster unity and address the needs of the people without discrimination.
Dr. Shuaib emphasized that sustainable growth in any society could only be achieved when leaders uphold fairness, tolerance, and service to all.
He congratulated Dr. Mamman for his foresight and also commended the people of Dari community for embracing the mosque project as a unifying symbol that will serve generations to come.
