Rising it's yearly Annual General Meeting, Barewa College Zaria Old Boys Association (BOBA) elect former Chief of Staff, Major General Alwali Jauji Kazir retired it's President to run hemp of Association for the next 4 years.
Our Correspondent reports that the election was held at Sultan Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubukar Assembly Hall of the College at the weekend
In his acceptance Speech shortly after the election, newly sworn in. President promised all members along for the betterment of the Association as it's progress was a collective responsibilities, saying that all hand should be on deck to achieve the objective.
He said that his leadership was going to focus on digitalizing the association through creating a DATABase website.
The President urged members to be more committed by attending meetings regularly and payment of their dues.
According to him the new executives will only succeed if members cooperate and support their activities.
General Kazir promised to transformed the association by assisting members and their alma mata.
In his remarks the Secretary General, Professor Nasuruddeen Usman said the new task on them was to deliver as expected by General membership.
Professor Usman requested prayers and support from BOBA family on the noble assignment they were to carry in the next 4 years.
Untill his election as Secretary General he was the immediate past Public Relation Officer of the Association.
Alhaji Sule Lamido and Alhaji Ibrahim Mamu were nominated into the Board of Trustees replacing late(s) Alhaji Muhammad Jibo and Justice Lawal Uwais.
Our Correspondent also reports that high light of this year's Annual General Meeting was the formal presentation of the association's amended constitution by the Chairman of the occasion former Head of States General, Yakubu Gowon (rtd) represented by Professor Saka Nuru.
This years AGM has in attendance a former Governors of Jigawa and Kaduna States, Alhaji Sule Lamido and Malam Nasiru Ahmed El-Rufa'i respectively, Ambassadors and Senior Military officers among other top personalities.
