The Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, following the death of his beloved father who passed away on Monday night.
Arriving at the governor’s residence, Vice President Shettima comforted the family, describing the late patriarch as “a man of wisdom, humility, and unwavering devotion to his people and community.” He prayed for God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and to give the family strength in this difficult moment.
Shettima noted that the governor’s father lived a life worthy of emulation, raising children who today continue to serve humanity with integrity and compassion.
“His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the countless lives he touched,” the Vice President said.
The atmosphere was solemn as family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to console the governor, sharing fond memories of the late elder statesman whose guidance and kindness left an indelible mark in the community.
