The Kaduna State Chapter of the Fityanul Islam of Nigeria has suspended three local government chapter chairmen and their executive members for six months over alleged misconduct and abuse of office.

In a statement issued in Zaria by the National and Board of Trustees Secretary, Engr. Mansir Salihu Nakande, the suspended officials were accused of illegally selling the association’s assets, including an 18-seater bus, motorcycles, and farm implements.

They were also alleged to have impersonated association officials and used proxies to unlawfully collect grants and donations on behalf of the state chapter.

Those affected include Alhaji Umar Dikko Mai Shinkafa (Zaria Chapter), Liman Suleiman Chikaji (Sabon Gari Chapter), and Alhaji Abdullahi Dankauru (Kubau Chapter), along with their secretaries and other executive officials.

The statement further disclosed that the association’s National Working Committee (NWC) has set up an investigative panel to probe the allegations, warning the suspended officials against parading themselves as representatives of Fityanul Islam or engaging in any official activities until the investigation is concluded.
