The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has received the Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Hon. Idris Ahmad Da Magani, who paid him a courtesy visit to congratulate him on his appointment and to initiate a collaborative working relationship between the Ministry and Keffi Local Government.
Hon. Da Magani described the visit as a dual-purpose engagement—partly to address official matters concerning land allocation and partly to personally congratulate the Attorney General, whom he described as a long-time brother and ally to the grassroots.
“This visit is not just official; it’s personal. Even though I could have sent a representative, I felt the need to come in person to congratulate you and express our commitment to strengthening state-local government cooperation,” the Chairman stated.
He further emphasized the importance of coordinated governance between local and state institutions to achieve more responsive service delivery at the grassroots level.
In his remarks, Barr. Isaac Danladi thanked the Chairman for the gesture, revealing that Hon. Da Magani is the third local government chairman to officially visit and congratulate him since his appointment.
He lauded the Chairman’s commitment to peace, security, and development in Keffi, noting that his youthful energy, experience, and educational background have set him apart in leadership.
“You may be young, but you have demonstrated maturity and foresight in your governance. Keffi may be one of the smallest in landmass, but it is mighty in history and strategic importance. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed,” the Attorney General said.
Barr. Danladi also called for a more robust collaboration between the Ministry and Keffi Local Government to ensure quicker dispensation of justice, particularly in land-related cases, which he said are prevalent in the area.
He added, “Let us work together as partners in progress. Our collaboration will not only benefit Keffi but also contribute to the overall efficiency of the justice system across the state.”
The meeting concluded with both leaders pledging to sustain intergovernmental synergy for the good of the people.
