The Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Salihu Mohammed Alkali, has extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Nasarawa State on the occasion of the 2024 Id-el-Maulood, marking the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad.
In his message, Comrade Alkali encouraged the Muslim faithful to celebrate the occasion in line with the virtues of patriotism, Godliness, humility, simplicity, truth, sympathy, and peace. He emphasized that these values are essential for fostering development and progress in society.
He also called on citizens to offer prayers for the nation and its leaders, expressing optimism that unity and collective purpose would help the country overcome its challenges. Comrade Alkali reaffirmed the NUJ's commitment to maintaining professionalism and serving the public interest, urging citizens to hold the government accountable for sustainable and responsive development.
In his message, delivered by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Shuaibu Usman, the NUJ Chairman prayed for the well-being, prosperity, and unity of all Nigerians, expressing hope that the nation will achieve its full potential.
