The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), paid a condolence visit to Yobe State in the wake of the recent attack on Mafa village by Boko Haram insurgents.

This was contained in a press release signed by Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor.

During the visit to Damaturu, Ganduje expressed solidarity with the government and people of Yobe State, stating, "We share in the pain and grief caused by this senseless attack on innocent lives. We stand with our Yobe family during this challenging time."

He called for enhanced collaboration between security agencies to combat the ongoing insurgency, expressing optimism that Yobe State would soon find relief from these attacks by the grace of God.

Governor Mai Mala Buni, in his response, appreciated the APC leadership for their show of support. “Your visit gives us a sense of belonging and care from the party. On behalf of the government and the people of Yobe State, I extend my gratitude,” Governor Buni said.

He assured continued cooperation between his administration and security agencies, pledging support to the army, police, and local vigilante groups to strengthen security efforts across the state.
