Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, from its National Headquarters in Abuja, has issued a heartfelt message on the occasion of Eid al-Maulud, celebrated on the 13th of Rabi'il Awwal 1446 Hijriyya (September 16, 2024).

The organization extends its warmest felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah, both globally and within Nigeria, as they commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In their message, the group emphasized the importance of adhering to the teachings and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urging Muslims to embrace the love, support, and reverence commanded by Allah for His Messenger.

They noted that this year's Maulud comes at a time when Nigeria is grappling with severe challenges, including a catastrophic flood disaster in Maiduguri that has claimed lives and caused unprecedented damage.

In light of these hardships, Fityanul Islam calls on Muslims to use the sacred period of Maulud to pray for relief from the country's ongoing security and livelihood crises.

The organization also appealed to Nigerians, corporate bodies, embassies, and multinational corporations to offer assistance to flood victims in Maiduguri and other affected areas across Nigeria.

The statement also highlighted the exceptional character and morals of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), reminding Muslims to uphold his Sunnah as a guiding example in their daily lives, especially during the Maulud celebrations.

The message was signed by Sheikh Muhammad Arabi Ahmad Abulfathi, President of Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, and Ustaz Sani Ibn Salihu, Director-General of Media and Publicity for the organization.
