Court Halts PDP Congress in Nasarawa State

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters has received a court order prohibiting the conduct of congresses at all levels in Nasarawa State, issued through substituted service.

The order was granted by a Nasarawa State High Court in Doma, following an ex parte motion filed by sixteen party members, led by Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, who represents Nasarawa South District in the Nigerian Senate. 

Justice Abdullahi Hassan Shams Shama presided over the case and approved the applicants' request for substituted service. The court has scheduled a hearing for Thursday, October 3rd.

Other applicants in the suit include prominent party members such as Senator Suleiman Asonya Adokwe, Michael Abdul, Nuhu Angbazo, Musa Elayo, Abdulkarim Usman Ombamas, Muhammed Yamusa Chindo, Adamu Oyanki, Nathaniel Aboki, Umar Galadima, Webey Angama, Jubril Sabo Keana, Musa Bako Karshi, Mamman Sunday, Jibrin Idris Ojoko, and Gaza Mark Auta.
