The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State is growing stronger under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, according to Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Chief Executive Officer of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau.
Dr. Oghenesivbe praised the party's recent landslide victory in the Local Government Council Elections as evidence of this strength.
Speaking on Trend 100.9 FM Radio in Asaba, Dr. Oghenesivbe emphasized that winning elections is a serious endeavor that requires robust and productive party structures, strong membership, and notable achievements by the party and its candidates.
He highlighted the extensive campaign efforts and the united front presented by the PDP, contrasting it with the unpreparedness and weak structures of opposition parties in Delta State.
Dr. Oghenesivbe also called on opposition leaders to accept the election results, citing the example of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate in Isoko North Local Government Area,
Apostle Joshua Ogbodo, who graciously congratulated the PDP winner, Prince Godwin Ogorugba.
He assured that Governor Oborevwori will continue to drive meaningful development, support poor families and people with disabilities, and focus on infrastructure and socioeconomic growth across Delta State's three senatorial districts.
Dr. Oghenesivbe commended the governor for creating a conducive environment for credible, transparent, and fair elections.
Dr. Oghenesivbe expressed his admiration for Governor Oborevwori's democratic principles and his achievements within one year in office, attributing the success in the local elections to the governor's performance. He affirmed that the governor's
"MORE Agenda" is on track and that he is confident in Oborevwori's continued excellence in all sectors of the state's economy.
