Governor Umaru Bago Fulfills Promise: Delivers Truckload of Rice and 20 Cows to NYSC Orientation Camp

48 hours after Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State made pledge to earmarked Five Billion Naira for the construction of new NYSC orientation camp,One  truck of Rice and bonus of Two Hundred Thousand Naira to each corps members serving in the state,has redeemed his pledge by delivering a truckload of rice and 20 cows to the National Youths Service Crops (NYS).

Governor  Bago made the pronouncement during the swearing in of 2024 Batch B, Stream one orientation course on Tuesday,2nd July,2024.  

He promised the donation of one truck of rice and twenty cows as well  as the donation of two hundred thousand naira each  as bonus to the Corp members posted to the state
 
The governor who the guest of honor at the swearing in ceremony at the NYSC orientation Camp I'm Paiko Tuesday had promised to dug five boreholes to alleviate the shortage of water at the camp

The Coordinator of NYSC in Niger State,Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab, gave the hint in Minna, Thursday.4th July 204.

She noted that the governor had equally promised to sink five boreholes and additional toilet facilities for 
both male and female hostels.

Mrs Olayinka further disclosed that she has taken delivery of 600 bags of rice and 20 cows, adding that items were received with great
elation by both corps members and camp officials.

She revealed that the process for the payment of the N200,000 was ongoing,while the survey
for the five boreholes and the toilets announced by the governor has commenced.

The NYSC state coordinator said the donation of the items would help mitigate the challenges faced by course participants during orientation exercises.

She commended the governor for his kind gestures to the Corp members calling on other governor's to emulate the governor of Niger State.
