Nigerians have been urged to remain committed to the growth and development of the country irrespective of religious, political and ethnic backgrounds.
Chairman of PDP in Nasarawa state, Francis Orogu gave the admonition Monday in a message to Muslims as they they joined other Muslims Ummah all over the world to celebrate Sallah in Lafia, Nasarawa state Capital.
Orogu said Nigerians should continue to work for the growth of the nation adding that it is only through the collective resolve of all the the political, economic and social crisis bedeviling the nation can be address.
The Opposition People's Democratic party Chairman in a felicitation Sallah message to the Muslims faithfuls urged Nigerians to shun all forms of divisive tendencies saying that the Sallah celebrate which represent selfless sacrifice, unity and adherence to the teaching of prophet Mohammed be replicated in our daily lives to make the country a united Nation.
While urging prayers by all Nigerians to navigate the challenges currently facing the country said, collective prayers and moral commitment is key to national development.
We have no other country than Nigeria. Therefore, I want to emphasise that people should pray for the progress and development of Nigeria and for our economy to grow for the benefits of all.”
Orogu also charged Nigerians especially the leaders to give more time to those things that will help fix the myriads of problems facing the country.
“I want to call on Nigerians to remain resilient; let us be more united, put our heads together and ensure Nigeria remains one indivisible entity by enhancing and applying justice, equality and fairness as we governs our people at all levels, the PDP Chairman stated.
“For Nigeria to move forward, there is one very important thing we must consider: That the life of all Nigerian matters Therefore, I call on all Nigerians to eschew violence and embrace each other so that we can move forward and ride on an aggressive part to political and economic growth.”
He congratuled all the Muslim faithfuls and urged them to uphold the virtues of selfless sacrifice, peace and unity as expmplified by the prophet Mohammed in all their dealings.
