Special Assistant on Youth Matters office of the Speaker House of Representatives Hon. Lamir Umar Ibrahim has celebrated the 2023 Christmas with less privilege in some communities of Plateau State, Bauchi and FCT.

Hon. Ibrahim in his little way of showing love to the less privileged distributed food items and presented cash in Dadin Kowa Jos South Local Government and Yelwa Shendam, Shendam Local Government of Plateau State.

He said the gesture is his little way of showing love to the less privileged in society 

The Lawmaker Aide has also distributed food items to some communities in Bauchi and FCT

The Reps Speaker SA urges Christians to use the Christmas period and pray for peace, unity and progress of Plateau State and Nigeria at large. 

According to him, the Christmas period should be the season of promoting peaceful coexistence and unity among citizens of the country. 

He described Christmas as a period for faithfulness, in general, to reflect on the essence of sacrifice and prayers in the country. 

He further encouraged Christians to remember Christmas beyond the festive decorations and exchange of gifts. 

"Christmas is a period to come together and pray for a better society even as the celebration teaches us the beauty of selflessness and generosity to humanity. 

"As we celebrate Christmas, let us carry the lesson forward into the years ahead, May the spirit of giving, love, togetherness, renewed hope, faith and gratitude showers in our lives, guiding us towards a brighter and prosperous future in Nigeria. 

However a clergy from Yelwa Shendam 
Rev Elisha Seri has commended the efforts of Hon. Lamir Umar Ibrahim for always putting smiles on the youths and women in the Locality.

He describes the Youth Activists as peacemaker who have demonstrated capacity by supporting the less privileged in Yelwa Shendam and bringing people together irrespective of faith and tribe.

"We in Yelwa Shendam have known Hon. Ibrahim as someone who contributed to support the Youths with scholarships, empowered the women with small businesses and has always celebrated with less privileged during the festivity, we pray for more open doors to him, he has brought both Christian and Muslims together, we are indeed Happy for his commitment and zeal".
