Hon Daniel Ogazi, member representing Kokona East constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has pledged his total support and loyalty to enable the new Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Danladi Jatau succeed.
Ogazi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Rules and Business and a contestant for the position of the House Speakership visited Hon Jatau in his House in Garaku to congratulate him on his emergence as Speaker of the House.
" I am here with my entourage to rejoice and congratulate Hon Danladi Jatau as the new Speaker of the House.
" This is what God has done for us in Kokona Local Government Area.
" You are all aware that I have contested for this position but when His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule said all members should support Hon Jatau, I have also supported Hon Jatau to become the Speaker
" When we are contesting for this position, Hon Jatau said if God has given me the position he will support me and that if God has given him the position I should support him, that is why I am here to register my support.
Hon Ogazi expressed his happiness over Rt. Hon Jatau emergence as the Speaker of the House.
" Hon Jatau has the experience to lead the House, I will support and work together with him to succeed," he said.
Hon Ogazi urged the people to pray and support Jatau to succeed.
He also advised the people to give the Speaker positive advice that will enable him succeed and to take the assembly forward.
Hon Ogazi urged the new speaker to provide all inclusive leadership and prayed God to give him more wisdom to take the House to the next level of development.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of the House appreciated Hon Ogazi and his entourage for rejoicing with him over his election as Speaker of the 7th Assembly.
" First and foremost, I want to appreciate Hon Ogazi and his entourage for rejoicing with me, this victory is not my victory alone but it is the victory for Hon Ogazi and the entire people of the State.
" I want to assure Hon Ogazi that we will work together, he has the legislative experience," he said.
Rt. Hon Jatau assured of an open door policy and all inclusive leadership to promote unity, peace and progress for the overall development of the State.
The Speaker advised the people of the area against negative advice.
" Please don't come and tell me that Hon Ogazi said this, said that, I will not listen to you," he said
He called on the people of the area to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule and the State Assembly to succeed.
It would be reported that those in Hon Ogazi's entourage includes Hon Awalu Adamu, Chairman, Kokona LGA, Prof Silas Gyar, former Rector, Isa Mustapha Agwai 1, polytechnic Lafia among others.
