Nigerians have been told to continue to rekindle their hope on Nigeria as a country assuring that Nigeria will be great despite the multiple challenges facing the country.
An Abuja based medical Personnel Dr. Khalil Mohammed gave the assurance while speaking during a commissioning of a library and studies center to immortalize the late chief of staff to the late chief of Army Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, Brig. General Mohammed Idris Abdulkadir which took place at the NUT END WELL Science college in Minna at the weekend.
Speaking in a paper he delivered with the topic: "Exploring The Indomitable IBB"
to commemorate a studies center in memory of late Brig General Mohammed Idris Abdulkadir donated by his nephew Umar Adamu Ndanusa the head boy of the college stated that Nigerians should continue be hopeful that the country would surmount the challenges its passing through
According to the medical doctor,other countries of the world, has passed through different kinds of political and social economic challenges yet they were able to surmount their challenges insisting that Nigeria as a developing nation would not be an exception.
" America as the biggest political country of the world is over two thousand years in their political history.
" They have passed through one or the other,political and social economic challenges but they still came out of it and they are still waxing stronger today in the world.
Nigeria with just twenty two or so years of democracy will not be an exception. So what I'm saying here is that Nigerians should not lose hope that all the problems and challenges currently facing us as a Nation will be a history if not in our own time, it will be our children's time" he assured.
He explained that lack of patriotism by the citizens were responsible to some of the factors militating against the political and social economic as well as security challenges bedeviling the country noting that the citizens should
imbibe the culture of been patriotic to the country
Dr Khail Mohammed commended Umar Adamu Ndanusa for taking the bold step to immortalize his uncle Late Brig. General Mohammed Idris Abdulkadir by naming the library and the IBB studies center after him calling on other younger generations of his age to borrow a leaf from his foresight by taking it upon himself to name the Centre after the late military officer.
He called on educational and research institutes in the country to make use of the IBB Studies center for their research works so as to preserve the records and works of our past leaders for the benefits of the country
He noted that the studies center named his uncle Late Brig General Mohammed Idris Abdulkadir the former chief of staff to the then chief of Army staff Lt.General Ibrahim Attahiru will serve as source of pride, motivation and inspiring others to strive for greaters inrespective of their circumstances.
In his remarks the principal of the NUT END WELL Science College. Dr. Gabriel Ogah applauded the forsight of the college headboy Umar Adamu Ndanusa for thinking towards establishing and immortizing his late uncle with the studies center in his college.
He said the College will partner with some institutions across the country to visit the center to carry out their research on the legacies and the achievements recorded by IBB during his eight years administration as the military president.
