The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has staged a one-million-man solidarity march in Lafia, Nasarawa State, in support of Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The march commenced from Lubuna House along New Market Road, Lafia, with party supporters and sympathisers participating in the mobilisation before terminating at the same location.

The exercise brought together members of the party and supporters from different parts of the state, as the NDC continued its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during the event, the NDC State Chairman, Comrade Dogo Danladi Shamma, appreciated party members for their resilience, commitment and continued support for the party.

Shamma expressed confidence in the party's prospects in the 2027 presidential election, recalling Peter Obi's performance in Nasarawa State during the 2023 presidential election.
“In 2023, Obi had no structure in Nasarawa State, but he won the state. Now that he has structures, definitely we are going to win the election in 2027,” Shamma said.

Also speaking, Deman Jo commended members and supporters for their large turnout and urged them to remain committed to the party's mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
Other speakers at the march, including representatives of the party's youth and women wings, called for unity, peaceful political participation and sustained grassroots engagement across Nasarawa State.

The participants marched through designated routes in Lafia before returning to Lubuna House, New Market Road, where the exercise came to an end.
The NDC leadership said the mobilisation was part of efforts to strengthen the party's structures and deepen its presence across Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
