Lafia-Born Political Appointees Under Abdullahi Sule Rally Behind Ahmed Aliyu Wadada

Political appointees of Lafia Local Government origin serving under the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule have unanimously declared their support for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as the preferred successor ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The decision was reached during a high-level meeting held at the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, in the office of the Commissioner, Aminu Mua'zu Maifata.
The meeting brought together all Lafia-indigene political appointees, alongside key government officials including the Commissioner for Security, where deliberations centered on political direction, unity, and continuity of governance in Nasarawa State.
According to insiders, the appointees resolved to throw their collective weight behind Senator Wadada, citing his experience, political structure, and perceived capacity to sustain and expand on the achievements recorded under the current administration.
The development underscores growing political coordination among stakeholders from Lafia, signaling the beginning of strategic realignments ahead of the next gubernatorial contest in Nasarawa State.
