Residents of Yobe State have offered special prayers for All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Kashim Musa Tumsah (KMT), in appreciation of his extensive Ramadan feeding programme and sustained community interventions.
The goodwill gesture, which coincided with the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, witnessed widespread commendations from beneficiaries across the state’s three senatorial zones.
Reports indicate that this year’s initiative featured a network of both mobile and stationary feeding centres strategically located in selected communities, ensuring broad reach and inclusivity.
An estimated 700,000 residents benefitted from the programme, receiving balanced meals consistently from the first day of fasting through to the 30th day of Ramadan.
Beneficiaries noted that the initiative significantly supported families in observing the daily fast, describing it as timely and impactful amid prevailing economic challenges.
The feeding exercise was executed through coordinated efforts of vendors who prepared and distributed meals at designated points, while mobile teams extended outreach to remote communities.
Special attention was given to vulnerable groups, including the needy, orphans, Qur’anic Sangaya schools, households, and passersby.
Many beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation, stating that the intervention had greatly eased their burden during the holy month.
They further described Tumsah as a compassionate leader whose actions reflect a commitment to people-centered governance.
They also voiced strong support for his political ambition, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver inclusive leadership if elected governor in 2027.
According to them, Tumsah’s longstanding contributions to social and economic development across Yobe State have earned him widespread recognition and grassroots support, positioning him as a formidable contender in the forthcoming APC governorship primary.
