The executive leadership of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Gargari Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, has announced the expulsion of the party’s Kano State Chairman, Hon. Hashimu Dungurawa.
The decision followed a resolution adopted by 27 executive members of the ward during a second executive meeting held two weeks after Dungurawa’s re-election.
The meeting was presided over by the Ward Chairman, Shuaibu Hassan, alongside the Ward Secretary, Yahaya Saidu Dungurawa.
According to the resolution, Dungurawa was removed over allegations of causing division within the party, instigating internal conflicts, failure to remit party dues, and making disparaging remarks against the Governor of Kano State.
The ward executives stated that such actions contravened the party’s constitution and undermined the unity, credibility, and progress of the NNPP in Kano State.
They emphasized that the decision was taken in line with the party’s constitutional provisions to promote discipline, peace, and cohesion within the party.
The executives further disclosed that copies of the expulsion resolution had been forwarded to NNPP leadership at the local government, state, and national levels for necessary action.
In addition, the party’s national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, were formally informed of the development.
The Gargari Ward leadership described the action as a warning to party officials who abuse their positions or disregard party rules and disciplinary measures.
They reaffirmed their loyalty to the national leadership of the NNPP under Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and pledged their continued support for the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, while committing to safeguarding unity, peace, and progress within the party at all levels.
