The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has lost one of its key communication officers following the resignation of Hon. Umar Bello Jada, who served as both the Assistant National Publicity Secretary and Zonal Publicity Secretary of the party.

In a resignation letter dated 1st December 2025 and addressed to the National Chairman of the party, Jada announced that his exit from the role takes immediate effect.

Jada said his decision was based “purely on personal grounds” after a period of careful reflection on his current responsibilities and the direction he must take at this stage of his life.

“Stepping down is a difficult but necessary choice, made to allow me to attend to pressing personal matters that require my full attention,” he wrote.

He expressed deep appreciation for the trust, support, and camaraderie extended to him during his service, describing his time in office as an honour.

“It has been an honour to contribute to the growth, visibility, and strengthening of our great party. I cherish the experiences, the teamwork, and the ideals we collectively uphold in our pursuit of a better, more democratic Nigeria,” he added.

Jada assured the party leadership of his continued respect and goodwill toward the African Democratic Congress, noting that he remains committed to supporting the party’s values in any way his circumstances may permit in the future.

The letter was copied to the Zonal Chairman North East, the Zonal Secretary North East, and the State Chairman Adamawa.

His resignation marks another notable development within the ADC as internal restructuring and political recalibrations continue across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
