The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has commended the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Aliyu Bello, for his unwavering commitment to youth development through sports, particularly his sponsorship of the Under-13 Football Competition.
Barrister Danladi described the initiative as laudable and impactful, noting that such gestures help in discovering and nurturing young talents in football.
He offered prayers for continued divine blessings upon Dr. Aliyu Bello for his philanthropy and dedication to youth empowerment.
The Attorney General, who is also a football enthusiast and technocrat, applauded the young players participating in the tournament for their passion, commitment, and resilience in the game.
He, however, urged them to maintain a healthy balance between their sporting aspirations and academic pursuits, emphasizing that education remains vital to their overall growth and future success.
In his remarks, Dr. Aliyu Bello expressed gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for the support received from the state government, which he said continues to inspire initiatives that promote youth development.
He also hinted at plans to establish a football academy that would serve as a hub for nurturing football talents across the state.
The grand finale of the third edition of the Under-13 Football Cup Competition, organized by the Dr. Aliyu Bello Charity Foundation, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 27th May 2025, at the Rishama Football Field, Akwanga. The highly anticipated final match will feature teams from Akwanga and Lafia.
