A Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, presided over by Justice Muhammad Zubair, has criticized the Department of State Services (DSS) for failing to comply with a previous court order regarding the detention of Bello Bodejo.

This occurred during Monday’s proceedings involving a case brought by the Bodejo family against the DSS.

The judge reprimanded the DSS for neither presenting Bodejo in court nor releasing him as instructed. Counsel to Bello Bodejo, Reuben O. Atabo SAN, urged the DSS to respect the court’s authority, emphasizing that no one is above the law.

In a prior session held last Thursday, the court had ordered the DSS to either release Bodejo or produce him in court.

The case is scheduled to resume at 1:00 PM for further proceedings.
