The Rivers State Government has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, following the death of his wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, after a brief illness.
In a condolence message issued from Port Harcourt, Governor Siminalayi Fubara expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the passing of the Akwa Ibom First Lady on September 26, 2024, as a painful event.
"We received with sadness the news of the death of your beloved wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, who transitioned to glory on 26th September, 2024," Governor Fubara stated. He acknowledged the emotional toll of losing a partner of many years, noting how closely the governor and his wife were bonded, and how influential she had been as a source of strength and support.
"While words may not be enough to express your pain, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We pray the Almighty grants you and your family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss," the governor added.
The condolence message was signed by Nelson Chukwudi, Chief Press Secretary to the Rivers State Governor.
