The Bureau For Religious Affairs In Niger State has organized an Induction Course For the newly appointed senior special assistants (Religious matters),on their responsibility to the Bureau.
The Director General for the Bureau in Niger State Dr. Umar Farooq Abdullahi said the induction course was organized to prepare the newly appointed senior special assistants to acquaint them with their roles and conduct as SSAs.
He stated that as SSAs their roles centered on advisory and initiation towards achieving the mandate of the Bureau and the realization of the New Niger Agenda of the governor Mohammed Umar Bago administration.
Dr Farooq Abdullahi, while congratulating the appointees for participating in the course he urged them to do all within their responsibility to justify the confidence reposed in them by governor Mohammed Umar Bago so as his vision of a new Niger Agenda would be achieved.
Speaking in an interview with Journalists shortly after the induction course, Dr. Farooq Abdullahi told the participants to have confidence in him just as he has confidence on all of them in achieving the set objective of their appointment by the governor Mohammed Umar Bago led administration.
According to the Director General, the moment "we started doubting ourselves, we cannot get to our destination.
"Like I said earlier, my confidence in all of you as members of this family is not in doubt and I also have no reason to doubt you people as part of me. All I need from you is a collective understanding for us to get to that destination to arrive at the new Niger Agenda of governor Umar Mohammed Bago" he appealed.
He emphasizes the importance of their appointment by the administration of governor Umar Mohammed Bago as religious leaders stating that their appointment is an advisory to the governor on the maintenance of religious harmony among all religious organizations in the state.
He disclosed that some committee have been put in place to carry out some duties aimed at making the Bureau achieved its mandate .
