Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has advised the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its gubernatorial candidate, Doctor David Ombugadu, to refrain from pursuing judgment at the Supreme Court and instead collaborate with the government for the ongoing growth of the state.

Gov. Sule made this announcement while addressing journalists following his victory, as the Appeal Court declared him the duly elected Governor of the state on Thursday.

In celebration of his Appeal Court victory, Governor Abdullahi Sule hailed the judgment as fantastic, stating that it would bolster progress and peaceful co-existence in the state.

He expressed gratitude to stakeholders, officials of the All Progressives Congress party, youths, and women for their unwavering support before, during, and after the Appeal Court's judgment. He expressed his delight at the court's decision, mentioning that it would encourage him to continue executing more projects beneficial to the people across the state.

Governor Sule's message, conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Nawani Aboki, urged the Gubernatorial candidate, Doctor David Umbugadu, and the PDP in the state to abstain from approaching the Supreme Court. He deemed such action as a waste of time and resources, advising them to collaborate with his Government to enhance socio-economic activities and create an enabling environment for thriving investments in the state.

Engineer Sule, however, encouraged people to recognize and celebrate the progress made thus far. He assured that anyone interested in contesting the 2027 elections would be given the opportunity, emphasizing that the Government is not apprehensive about the possibility of a Supreme Court challenge.

It is worth noting that the three-judge panel of the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja upheld that the petitioners at the tribunal, PDP and Umbugadu, failed to substantiate their allegations of over-voting and non-compliance with the Electoral Act. Consequently, Governor Abdullahi Sule was declared the winner of the March 18th gubernatorial election in the state.
