The House of Representatives flagbearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for Chanchaga Federal Constituency in Niger State. Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Salami has pledged to address youth restiveness and other social vices in Minna if given the mandate.
He noted that as a youth who was born and breathed in Minna,he is conversant and familiar with the youths promising to take them out of the streets by engaging them in meaningful ventures that give them the sense of belonging.
Adamu Abubakar,known as “Ado Salami” also assured that he will give his legislative priority on youths and women empowerment through skill acquisition programmes that will have direct impact on them.
The APC flagbearer, who was speaking with Journalists in an interview in Minna at the Weekend, stated that he will do everything within the available resources to bring to an end the increasing rates of social vices bedeviling youths in Chanchaga and its environs.
He described as disturbing the rates at which able-bodied youths that are supposed to be useful to themselves,to their parents and the society in general end up engaging in destroying themselves through all sorts of vices that are detrimental to their future.
According to the APC flagbearer, no Right thinking persons will be happy seeing youths that are supposed to be productive and contribute meaningfully to the society “will now end up becoming liability to the society,by the grace of Allah,if given the mandate in 2027, I will address the issue by engaging them in a meaningful venture”
Speaking further, Ado Salami, promised to lobby his colleagues at the lower chamber of the National Assembly to support him in improving the wellbeing of his Constituency through legislating on engaging the youths in skill acquisition programmes that will take them out of the streets.
Adamu Abubakar, who was optimistic of clinching the Chanchaga Federal House of Representatives Constituency in 2027 called on the people of his Constituency to come out in their large numbers to exercise their franchise by casting their vote during the election.
