Karu/Gitata aspirant begins grassroots consultations ahead of Assembly race

A frontline aspirant for the Karu/Gitata Constituency seat in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Zhiwomi Philip Iyakwari, who serves as Personal Assistant to the Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has formally presented her nomination and expression of interest forms to her principal in Karu, seeking his blessings and mentorship ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The presentation, which took place in Karu, underscores Iyakwari’s loyalty and respect for established leadership, as well as her commitment to wide consultation with key stakeholders as she pursues her political ambition.
Speaking during the visit, Iyakwari expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve under the Attorney General, noting that the experience has provided her with valuable exposure to governance and public service.
She reaffirmed her determination to deliver inclusive and people-oriented representation for the people of Karu/Gitata Constituency, with focus on grassroots development, youth empowerment, and women participation in governance.
Responding, Barr. Isaac Danladi commended Iyakwari for her courage and aspiration, urging her to remain steadfast, consult widely, and maintain strong ties with the grassroots.
He assured her of his support and mentorship as she prepares to engage constituents across the constituency.
Iyakwari is expected to commence a series of consultations with stakeholders, community leaders, and constituents across Karu and Gitata as part of her campaign activities toward the 2027 elections.
