The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Nasarawa State chapter, has strongly condemned the recent wave of reprisal attacks on innocent communities across the state, describing the development as alarming and unacceptable.

In a press statement signed by its Chairman, Hon. Danlami Muhammed Musa, IPAC expressed deep concern over the escalating violence and loss of lives, urging all parties involved in the conflict to exercise maximum restraint and embrace peaceful means of resolving disputes.

The council decried the killing of civilians, destruction of properties, and displacement of residents, stressing that such acts must be condemned in the strongest terms.

It warned against lawlessness, emphasizing that no individual or group has the right to take the law into their hands.

IPAC further called on security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to restore peace, ensure the protection of lives and property, and prevent further breakdown of law and order in the affected areas.

The council appealed to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi A. Sule, to urgently intervene and ensure that those responsible for the attacks are identified and brought to justice.

While urging residents to remain calm, law-abiding, and peaceful, IPAC encouraged communities to work collectively towards strengthening unity and promoting peaceful coexistence.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the government and relevant stakeholders to foster peace, stability, and sustainable development across Nasarawa State.

“Together, we can build a better Nasarawa State for all,” the statement concluded.
