 Education, Health, Finance, Agriculture, others affected as changes take immediate effect

The Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has approved the posting of newly appointed Permanent Secretaries alongside the reshuffle of some senior officers in the state public service, in a move aimed at strengthening efficiency and service delivery across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Abigail N. Waya, said the postings take immediate effect, except where otherwise stated.

According to the statement, Mr. Absalom Madawa has been posted to the Ministry of Water Resources and Rural Development, while Mr. Stephen Sasetu moves to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. 

Dr. Khadija Suleiman is to serve as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, and Mr. Mohammed S. Mohammed has been posted to the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning.

Others affected include Mr. Yahaya Yakubu Eddie at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Mrs. Salamatu Oseze Sani at the Ministry of Agriculture, and Pharm. Sunday Iliya at the Ministry of Special Duties, Security and Sundry Matters.

Further postings show Dr. John Damina assigned to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, while Dr. Ibrahim Alhassan Adamu will serve at the Ministry of Health. Mr. Mohammed A. Adoku has been confirmed as Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice.

In addition, Mr. Mohammed Sani Bala was posted to the Bureau for Establishment and Manpower Development in the Office of the Head of Civil Service, while Mrs. Atinuke Chamang moves to the Civil Service Secretariat, also under the OHCS. Mrs. Ada Maikeffi has been posted to the Civil Service Commission, and Mr. Aliyu Ayitogo Akese to the Ministry of Works and Housing.

The statement further disclosed that Mrs. Hadiza Dahiru has been posted to the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, with effect from February 16, 2026.

Mrs. Waya urged all affected officers to assume their new responsibilities promptly and bring their wealth of experience to bear in advancing the objectives of the Nasarawa State Government.
