The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Lafia, Most Rev. Dr. David Ajang, has embarked on a pastoral visit to Dari Parish as part of ongoing efforts to personally assess the level of spiritual growth, physical development and human capacity performance within parishes and host communities under his episcopal jurisdiction.

The pastoral tour, which covered Dari, Amba and Bassa communities, was aimed at enabling the Bishop to see firsthand the progress made in infrastructural development, pastoral activities and the overall welfare of parishioners and residents of the area.
Speaking during the visit, Bishop Ajang emphasized the importance of regular pastoral engagements, noting that the Church has a responsibility not only to nurture the spiritual lives of its members but also to contribute meaningfully to human development and community advancement.

According to him, the Diocese places strong emphasis on promoting values that enhance peaceful coexistence, education, moral uprightness and social responsibility, especially at the grassroots level.
The Bishop also interacted with clergy, parish leaders and members of the community, encouraging them to remain steadfast in faith, unity and service to humanity, while supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development within their localities.
The Bishop was received at Dari Parish by Dr. John Maman, alongside parish officials and faithful, who expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a morale booster and a reaffirmation of the Diocese’s commitment to the growth and wellbeing of the people.
The pastoral visit featured prayers, brief inspections of parish facilities and engagements with community members, as the Diocese continues its mission of fostering spiritual renewal and holistic development across the Lafia Catholic Diocese.
