The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has announced a strategic partnership with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) aimed at tackling youth unemployment and supporting individuals with disabilities across Nigeria.

The initiative, which will focus on skills development, job creation, and entrepreneurship, was unveiled during the NLTF Executive Secretary, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju’s visit to the NDE headquarters.

The collaboration will empower over 50,000 youths and women, with a special emphasis on inclusivity for people living with disabilities.

Speaking during the visit, Adeyanju reaffirmed NLTF’s commitment to creating opportunities that foster employment.

"We are committed to partnering with the NDE to address youth unemployment. Our partnership will provide opportunities for skills development, which will lead to job creation," he said.

NDE Director General, Silas Agara, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting that the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, which prioritizes job creation.

He added, "This collaboration will provide training and entrepreneurship support by October. We are also committed to ensuring people living with disabilities are part of this."
