The Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, Honourable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has highlighted the reasons behind the council's push for the construction of a two-kilometre bypass road in Toto.

He explained that the dilapidated road, marked for construction since the inception of his administration, is vital for improving the socio-economic growth of the area, given its strategic geographical location.

Hon. Tashas expressed his gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for approving the project, which aligns with the state government's broader initiative to enhance infrastructure across the 13 local government areas.

The Chairman recalled how Governor Sule directed LG chairmen to recommend critical road projects for consideration, leading to this significant development in Toto.

This announcement follows an assessment visit by officials from the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board, signaling the commencement of the project.

Hon. Tashas also emphasized the importance of good road infrastructure for economic development, noting ongoing projects like the 47-kilometre Umaisha/Toto road, as well as upcoming projects in Gadabuke and Umaisha districts.

He thanked stakeholders for their support in realizing this initiative, which is expected to attract private investments and foster local economic growth in Toto and its environs.
The statement was released by Yahaya Idris Toto, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Executive Chairman of Toto LGA.
