The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Gaza Gwamna, has conducted an assessment tour to inspect the recently upgraded health care facilities in Assakio and Azara, which have been elevated from primary health care centers to General Hospitals.
The upgrades feature significant enhancements in infrastructure, equipment, and healthcare personnel to meet the increasing health needs of the community, focusing on maternal and child health, emergency care, and disease prevention.
During his tour, Dr. Gwamna also visited the Awe and Obi General Hospitals to evaluate the ongoing progress and the quality of services provided.
He engaged directly with healthcare providers and patients, gaining valuable insights into the effectiveness of the services delivered.
Dr. Gwamna expressed his satisfaction with the progress observed and reaffirmed Governor Abdullahi Sule's commitment to ongoing investment in healthcare infrastructure to achieve universal health coverage.
