The Nexus between peace and unity in driving economic development has again been stressed.
Director General of the National Directorate of Employment NDE Silas Agara stated this while receiving the leadership of JIBWIS and CAN Nasarawa chapter at his residence on congratulatory visit in Akwanga.
The Director General of National Directorate of Employment Silas Agara noted that the primary objective of every government is to protect the lives and property of it's citizenry which can only be achieved if religious leaders play complementary roles in sensitizing their followers against negative tendencies.
He noted the state is blessed with abundant human and minerals resources and was emphatically that present administration is focusing on leveraging on this resources to created jobs opportunity for the teeming youths.
Applauding the resilience and enthusiasm of JIBWIS and CAN in the promotion of peace, Agara implored the religious institutions and organizations in the state to strive in preaching message of tolerance, peace and unity as advocated in the holy scriptures knowing fully well that peace is essential for meaningful development.
Speaking on the recent nationwide protests, Silas Agara expressed optimism that inspite of the daunting challenges currently bedeviling the country, religious organization stand firm cautioning their followers on the consequences of protest, assuring of equitable development being initiated by president Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
In their remarks, state chairman of JIBWIS ustaz Yahaya Abdullahi Muhammad and Chairman ECWA DCC Akwanga local government Rev Hannaniah Zam while congratulating Silas Agara over his appointment urged him to lead with the fear of God with a reminder that people of Nasarawa state have huge expectations on him hoping his tenure will usher in development.
Similarly Silas Agara also received in audience sons and daughters of Mada land, women organizations and Gudi elders forum.
